OUR STORY

On a sunny Friday evening in summer 2017, four JET Alumni in the Charlotte area gathered for a quick Happy Hour to reminisce on their time in Japan. Several hours of laughter (& cocktails) later, it was unanimous: We were on a mission to strengthen the JET connections & start a Charlotte region JETAASE sub-chapter!

After months of coffee shop planning sessions, partnering with the JETAASE Executive Board & the Raleigh-based JETAASE sub-chapter, we finally made it happen in April 2018 when a group of 15 JET Programme Alumni came together & voted us into existence. 

This sub-chapter looks forward to working in coordination with the Raleigh-based chapter & to increase the availability of JETAA events to JET Alumni in the western part of NC.
